Nacex inaugurates its new platform in Coslada

Coslada, Tuesday 8th November 2018

On 8th November, Nacex unveiled its new distribution platform in Coslada (Madrid). The platform, which is located close to the capital city, to the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport and has direct access to the A-2, M-23, M-40 and M-45 motorways, will serve as a central platform for distribution at a national level.

With its surface area of over 23,000 m2, it is the largest cross-docking platform built in Spain during the last decade. The installations feature a unit measuring 12,140 m2 in which activities relating to the classification and distribution of goods will be carried out, as well as a two-storey office building of some 1500 m2 where administrative tasks will be performed.

The installations feature 114 loading bays: 104 for vans and 10 for lorries. These allow over 110 vehicles to simultaneously load and unload goods and documentation to and from locations in Spain and abroad.

To be able to guarantee the commitments made to its clients, one of Nacex's top priorities, the platform in Coslada makes use of the most advanced technology in recording, traceability and security. This includes a video coding classification system which enables the detection of unread or incorrect tags; 153 FullHD digital cameras, 13 of which are capable of 360° recording; and a classification system which will be capable of processing 32,000 packages an hour and classification chutes allowing 464 outbound packages an hour. Moreover, in line with its commitment to the pharmaceutical sector, the platform features a temperature-controlled chamber and pre-chamber.
